This large painting is part of a series of seventeen works called Svelata, which means "unveiled" or "revealed" in Italian. The rest of the series can be found in the gallery on svelata.org. In all of these paintings, you find her wrapped, shielded, submerged, uplifted, shrouded, suspended, and protected by her veil, the drapery, amidst water, the symbol of her soul, spirit and emotions. In "Santita", she has found sanctity amongst the folds...
